I saw an alternative note taking app, not that I was looking: Trilium.
It really had me considering trying it out from Obsidian even though I have no quarrels with Obsidian, other than paying for Sync, which I’m happy to.
But I see it’s in maintenance mode. Not a problem, but moving on. adr
